Lumina Web & PDF Highlighter is built for personal research. Highlights, notes, tags, source URLs, PDF annotation data, and settings are stored in Chrome storage on your browser. If you connect Google Drive, Lumina uses your Google authorization only to back up and restore your own Lumina data.

Data Lumina handles

Data use

Lumina uses this data to provide highlighting, annotation, export, backup, and restore features. Lumina does not sell user data and does not transfer it for unrelated purposes.

Google Drive sync

Google Drive sync is optional. When enabled, Lumina stores and reads only Lumina backup data in the user-authorized Drive scope. Disconnecting Drive stops future sync operations from the extension settings.

Data sharing

Lumina does not sell, rent, or transfer user data to third parties for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated analytics. Data is used only to provide the extension's single purpose: saving, organizing, exporting, and syncing user-selected research highlights and notes.
